The other day when I was in Whole Foods, I noticed that they had fresh garbanzo beans in the produce section. I’ve never had them before, so obviously, I had to buy them! I can’t control myself on this stuff. They have a shell on them similar to soybeans. You also can cook them like soybeans. I opted to bake them in their shells in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
The shells get a little brown and thats when you know it is done. Throw them in a bowl, toss with some salt and you have healthy and protein packed snack! They taste a lot like soybeans too. Not at all like the canned ones.
