Brunch is an event trend that is picking up steam. I believe its a combination of a universal love of brunch, food costs and the fact events are becoming more casual.
Brunch is Awesome
I can honestly say that I’ve never come across someone that doesn’t love brunch. I’m sure there is someone out there in a far away universe that doesn’t, but you can pretty much bet that your friends would love a brunch event. Not only will everyone love it, but you are able to offer a few different types of food. Mixing waffles with fried chicken, omelettes, burgers and pastries just to name a few. Throw in a Mimosa and/or Bloody Mary Bar and you’ve got a winning event.
Events are moving away or at least becoming less frequently, “fancy” these days. There will always be a place for an upscale cocktail party or sit down dinner, but it’s not necessary. A good way to still make brunch a party is to move it outside, which is perfect for Central Oregon.
Not only is brunch fun and pretty much a sure fire hit, it is also less expensive than your typical evening event. It’s a combination of the types of foods, how much people generally eat in the morning/noon hour and unless you 22, people typically consume a lot of alcohol.
Brunch Menu Idea
Fruit, Yogurt, Granola Parfait
Candied Bacon Strips
French Toast Bites
Chicken and Waffles
I find that a brunch event is great for graduation parties, birthday parties, engagement parties and baby showers. However, I have been seeing a trend heading towards wedding and especially engagement parties.
So, if you are thinking of having a super fun party/event and looking to keep the costs down – give brunch a try. You won’t be disappointed!
